Recommended order: Inventory → Officer → Stars → Development → XP → Planner → Save Progress. You can still use any tab at any time.
All Officers are shown automatically. Officers with no saved development are classified as NOT STARTED. Held shared resources do not increase an Officer's progress percentage.
| Officer | Overall progress | Development | Stars | XP | Badge shortfall | Star shortfall | XP shortfall | Status |

Choose any saved Officers to compare their actual saved progress. Shared inventory is not counted as completed progress.
Each Officer keeps their own upgrade progress. Shared resource inventories stay populated when you switch Officers.
Live summary for the selected Officer using the resources currently entered in the calculator.
Create a reusable future-Officer target without changing Inventory. Saved scenarios are stored on this device.
Turns saved future-Officer scenarios into a release-readiness view and highlights the next resource to prioritise.

v4.3.58 expands KoW Companion from single-Officer resource tracking into advanced multi-Officer and future-session planning. It links your saved Officer progress, shared Inventory, recurring release schedule and projected future Officer costs so you can decide whether to finish current Officers or preserve resources for future releases.
Advanced Planning uses the same shared resource information as the rest of the app. Before running a report, update Inventory with your current ORV, SRV, Universal Legendary Badges, Legendary Officer Badge Selection Chests, Star resources and XP Books. XP is calculated from the quantities entered for each XP Book denomination.
The Planner is preview-only. Running or refreshing a recommendation does not spend, deduct or change Inventory.
For each Officer you want included in current-Officer planning, open the Officer page, enter the Officer’s current Stars, Level, Skills, Training and Officer-specific resources, then save the profile. Advanced Planning reads the same Progress information used by the Progress screen.
MAXED Officers are always excluded from Advanced Planner recommendations because no further development resources are required for them.
The Planning session selector controls the overall purpose of the report:
When a specific future session is selected, the results intentionally show only that projected future Officer scenario. For example, April — Tanks shows S8 Tank — PROJECTED. Use All Officer sessions when you want projected Officers and saved/current Officers in the same report.
The Officer Session / Season filter narrows the saved/current Officer side of a report. Available choices are All Sessions, Original, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6 and S7.
Example: choose Saved Officers only → S6 → Tank to analyse eligible saved S6 Tank Officers only.
All applicable types / session default uses the Officer type expected for the selected recurring release session. You can override it with Rally, Garrison, Infantry, Tank or Tank Destroyer.
The type selector also works with the Season filter for saved/current reports. This enables focused reports such as S6 + Tank or S7 + Infantry.
Include Not Started adds eligible Officers that are marked NOT STARTED. Leave it off when you only want active development candidates.
Include Original Officers allows Original Officers to be included where relevant. Original Officers remain subject to their own resource eligibility rules and should not be treated as seasonal ORV/SRV Officers.
Select the required options and press Analyse Planning Session. The summary explains the active session/filter combination and the recommendation. Refresh Recommendation recalculates the report using the latest saved Progress and Inventory.
For larger Saved Officers or All Sessions reports, the Planner displays the Top 10 results initially. Use Show all to display the full report and Collapse to return to the compact view.
A row such as S8 Tank — PROJECTED is a planning placeholder, not a published Officer record. It allows resources to be reserved before the actual Officer details are known. The projection does not add an unpublished Officer to the Officer Database and does not assume that forecast ORV/SRV costs are confirmed.
For projected Legendary Officers, the Planner shows resource requirements for both one Officer and two Officers.
| Scenario | Badges | Star value | XP |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 projected Legendary Officer | 1,600 | 98,000 | 199,646,700 |
| 2 projected Legendary Officers | 3,200 | 196,000 | 399,293,400 |
The Planner compares these requirements with held resources and reports the expected readiness or shortfall for badges, Stars and XP.
The Releases page field Forecast increase per Officer release (%) controls projected cost growth. The default shown by the app is a percentage, not a fixed number of ORV/SRV.
Future ORV/SRV figures are labelled FORECAST. They are estimates derived from the latest published cost baseline and the selected percentage/release distance. When actual future Officer costs are published, the published values should replace the forecast.
The Future Officer Cost Forecast section on Releases includes an Advanced Future Officer Planning note and an Open Advanced Planner button. Use it after reviewing a future release forecast to move directly to the Planner and compare the projected release against your saved resources.
The result contains only eligible S6 Tank candidates matching those settings.
New in this build: specific future sessions now show only their selected projected Officer (for example April — Tanks → S8 Tank — PROJECTED); Saved/All reports use a Top 10 view with Show all / Collapse; Officer Session / Season filtering supports All, Original and S2–S7; Season and Officer Type can be combined for reports such as S6 + Tank; projected S8 planning includes one- and two-Officer resource requirements; Releases links directly to Advanced Planner; and future ORV/SRV costs remain clearly identified as forecasts.
The Advanced Planner now receives saved Progress, Officer database data, XP Books and shared Inventory through an explicit bridge from the main app module. This resolves the module-scope issue that prevented Saved Officers and XP held from appearing in Advanced Planning. The Releases Future Officer Cost Forecast now also includes a note and direct Open Advanced Planner button.
The Advanced Planner now reads current Officer candidates from the exact same Progress data source used by the Progress screen, and reads XP Books and shared resources from the exact same global resource store used by the XP and Inventory calculations. This fixes Saved Officers / All Sessions candidate detection and projected XP readiness.
Saved Officers and All Officer Sessions now use the actual saved profile store. MAXED Officers remain excluded. The Projected S8 Resource Requirement now shows ORV and SRV forecasts derived from the Releases percentage growth setting, and the Releases input label now explicitly shows (%) for clarity.
Saved Officers mode now reads actual saved Officer profiles correctly. The Advanced Planner also shows projected resource requirements for one and two future S8 Legendary Officers, including 1,600 / 3,200 badges, 98,000 / 196,000 Star value, and 199,646,700 / 399,293,400 XP. ORV and SRV amounts are explicitly labelled FORECAST until S8 costs are published.
Advanced Planning now uses only genuinely saved Officer profiles for current candidates. Planning Session can be set to Saved Officers only, All Officer sessions, Next Officer session, or a specific recurring Officer session. Include Not Started and Include Original Officers remain optional toggles. MAXED Officers remain excluded, and future scenarios are projected as S8+ Officer types without assuming unpublished ORV/SRV costs.
Advanced Planning now excludes MAXED Officers, shows In Progress seasonal Officers by default, adds optional Not Started and Original Officer toggles, corrects future projections to the next database season (S8 with the current S7 database), and places PROJECTED scenarios prominently in the comparison.
Advanced Multi-Officer Planning can now select a future Officer session and a specific future Officer Type: Tank, Tank Destroyer, Infantry, Rally or Garrison. Session defaults can be overridden manually. Future entries are clearly marked PROJECTED, MAXED Officers are excluded, and the Home Officer Readiness card includes an Open Officer Progress shortcut.
The Home screen now analyses the selected Officer against saved Inventory and shows Ready / Shortfall for Unlock, Next Star, 5★, Skills, Training, Level 70 XP and MAX Officer. Guided Workflow steps are clickable and take you directly to each stage.
The Home screen now guides users through the recommended Inventory-first workflow and shows the next suggested step. A new Inventory Readiness panel summarises saved badge resources, Star value, XP and individual Officer Badges. Smart Dashboard shortcut buttons take you directly to the relevant calculator.
Enter your shared resources once in Inventory and press Save Inventory. The saved values are then available throughout the app instead of being re-entered for each Officer.
Inventory includes ORV, SRV, Universal Legendary/Epic/Elite Badges, Legendary Officer Badge Chests and Selection Chests, rarity-specific Stars, XP Books, and individual Officer Badges. Individual Officer Badge quantities are stored separately for each Officer.
Recommended starting point: update and save Inventory first so the Officer, Stars, Development, XP and Planner calculations can work from the resources you actually hold.
Officers are automatically classified as MAXED, IN PROGRESS, or NOT STARTED. The main Progress filters and Compare Officer Progress filters work independently.
New in v4.3.50 LIVE: Officer Rarity now supports Legendary (Gold), Epic (Purple) and Elite (Blue). Training costs are 5 / 25 / 100 badges per point respectively. Epic and Elite Original Officers are included, with multi-role filtering. Skill Strand unlocking remains identical for every rarity.
Compare saved Officers in Season order. You can compare Not Started and In Progress Officers even when the main Officer Progress table is filtered differently.
The Officer tab now has Edit Officer Progress, allowing you to enter the key Officer-specific values in one place: Current Star Level, Current Officer Level, Officer Unlocked, Skill Strands and Training Level.
Use MAX Officer to set the selected Officer to 5★, Level 70, Unlocked, all four Skill Strands at Level 5, and Training Level 180.
Setting an Officer above Level 0 automatically selects Officer unlocked, reducing the chance of missing the unlock status.
Training can now be entered as an exact number from 0–180 as well as using the slider.
Each Officer has four independent Skill Strands. Strand availability follows Current Star Level: 0★ = Strand 1, 1★ = Strands 1–2, 2★ = Strands 1–3, and 3★+ = all four strands. Level 1 is free when each strand unlocks, and available strands can be advanced separately to Level 5.
The 16 paid skill increases share one badge-cost sequence, regardless of which strand is increased:
All 16 paid skill increases cost 690 Officer Badges in total.
The Development screen now shows Next Cost, badges used / 690, and badges remaining. Select the i button to view the full cost sequence and current strand information.
Gold means that skill level has been reached. Black/dark means an available skill level has not yet been reached. Grey means the strand is not yet available at the Officer’s current Star Level. Locked strands show the Star requirement.
Progress saved through Edit Officer Progress is written back to the Officer profile so the Officer, Stars, Develop, XP and Progress views stay synchronised.
Start here. Enter the resources you currently hold and press Save Inventory. Inventory is shared throughout the app, so you only need to maintain these resource totals in one place.
Inventory includes Officer Readiness Vouchers (ORV), Star Readiness Vouchers (SRV), Universal Legendary/Epic/Elite Badges, Legendary Officer Badge Chests and Selection Chests, Legendary/Epic/Elite Stars, XP Books, and individual Officer Badges.
For individual Officer Badges, enter quantities against the appropriate Officer. Each Officer's badge quantity is stored separately. Update Inventory whenever your in-game resources change, then save it before planning upgrades.
Use Search, Season and Officer Type / Role filters to narrow the Officer list. Select the Officer you want to calculate. A matching portrait is displayed automatically when its file is available in the officer-portraits folder.
The selected Officer determines the cost of an Officer Badge in Officer Readiness Vouchers (ORV) and the cost of an Exclusive Star in Star Readiness Vouchers (SRV).
The Officer Upgrade Summary shows the remaining Officer Badges, Officer Stars and Officer XP for the currently selected Officer.
Original Officers: Officer Readiness Vouchers (ORV) and Star Readiness Vouchers (SRV) cannot be used for Original Officers.
Set the Officer's current and target Star level. The Stars tab automatically follows the selected Officer rarity: Legendary, Epic or Elite Star I / II / III. Star Readiness Vouchers (SRV) are shown only for Legendary Officers and cannot be used by Epic or Elite Officers.
Enter unlock status, the four independent Skill Strand levels and Training Level. Development uses the relevant saved Inventory resources when calculating what is available for the selected Officer.
Each Universal Legendary Badge is worth 1 Officer Badge for a Legendary Officer.
Each Legendary Officer Badge Selection Chest can be used as either 1 Universal Legendary Badge or converted to the latest-Season Officer Readiness Voucher (ORV) value. A chest cannot count as both. With the current S7 database the benchmark is 600 ORV per chest.
Enter current and target Officer Level. Saved XP Book quantities from Inventory are used to calculate XP held, XP required and the remaining shortfall.
Use Planner after entering Inventory and the Officer's Stars, Development and XP progress. Select a goal such as Max Officer, Next Star, Reach 5★, Max Skills or Max Training to see requirements, resources held and shortfalls.
The Resource Optimiser lets you select a second Officer in Compare with Officer. It compares the Officer Readiness Voucher (ORV) cost per Officer Badge for the two Officers.
How to interpret the recommendation: where both Officers can use ORV, the optimiser recommends favouring ORV on the Officer with the lower ORV cost per badge and favouring shared Universal Legendary Badges / Legendary Officer Badge Chests on the Officer with the higher ORV cost per badge. This protects the more expensive Officer from unnecessary ORV spending.
The optimiser is preview only. It does not automatically spend, allocate or change your saved resources.
The Multi-Officer Planner lets you create a priority list of several Officers, set the Officer Badges still needed for each, and preview how shared ORV, Universal Legendary Badges and Legendary Officer Badge Chests could cover the plan.
Plans are preview-only and do not spend or alter the saved Inventory. Named plans can be saved locally in the browser and loaded again later.
MAX Officer: use the ⭐ MAX Officer button to set the selected Officer to 5 Stars, Level 70, Unlocked, all 4 Skill Strands at Level 5 and Training Level 180. The Officer profile is saved immediately. Shared inventory is not spent or changed.
Use Save Progress after entering or changing Officer progress information. Progress is stored locally in the browser on the current device. Save Progress does not publish your personal data to other users.
The Database Manager controls the Officer master list. Use it to add or edit Officers and export the database. Export CSV exports the Officer database; it is different from Save Progress and App Backup.
To publish new or edited Officers for everyone, update the published officers.json and officers.csv files in the GitHub repository.
The Releases tab shows the recurring August → July annual KoW release cycle. The current month and next scheduled release are highlighted automatically, so the calendar does not require a yearly reset.
Settings contains the app name, portrait and landscape backgrounds, update controls and Backup & Restore.
Export App Backup creates a JSON backup of KoW Companion data stored locally by the browser. Keep this file somewhere safe. Restore App Backup loads a previously exported JSON backup and reloads the app.
Check for Updates compares the installed version with the published version. Refresh Latest Version refreshes the KoW Companion application cache without intentionally deleting saved calculator progress.
ORV = Officer Readiness Voucher
SRV = Star Readiness Voucher
Universal Legendary Badge = 1 Officer Badge for a Legendary Officer
Exclusive Star = 110 Officer Star value
Forecast future Officer costs from the established Officer-release sequence. The model uses the latest known S7 Tank Destroyer release (600 ORV / 300 SRV) and compounds approximately 20% for each future Officer release.
KoW releases follow this recurring August → July annual cycle. The current month is highlighted automatically.
Enter resources once and press Save Inventory. The saved inventory is then used throughout the app.
Enter badge quantities for any Elite, Epic or Legendary Officer, then press Save Inventory. Every Officer is listed even when the player currently holds 0 badges. Each value is stored separately for that Officer and is used throughout the app.
The app automatically uses the Portrait background on portrait screens and the Landscape background on landscape/PC screens.
